Origin Electronics Announces New Office Opening in Korea
HONG KONG – 04 December 2009 – Origin Electronics Asia, a division of leading global distributor Nu Horizons Electronics (NASDAQ: NUHC), announced today its continued expansion in Asia Pacific with the opening of a sales office in Seoul, South Korea. This move is part of Origin’s ongoing expansion strategy to increase its presence throughout the Asia Pacific market, and becomes the 10th sales location operating in 6 countries including China (Shenzhen, Beijing and Shanghai), Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, India (Bangalore, Pune and New Delhi) and Korea.

Joseph Huh has been appointed Country Manager of Origin in Korea. Prior to joining Origin, Joseph was the Country Manager of Teknovus Korea focusing on the EPON market. Before Teknovus, Joseph held key sales and marketing positions with Memec Korea (acquired by Avnet in 2005) and Lattice Korea. Joseph received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering at Dankook University, Seoul Korea.
“Joseph has accumulated a total of 10 years experience in the CPLD/FPGA market and 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the Korean semiconductor industry,” added Chua. “His experience and in-depth understanding of the local market will make him a tremendous addition to the Origin team.”
